Yoga Towel - Bamboo

Hot yoga and heavy sweating make a mat slippery, and a slippery mat is where form starts to go. This towel lies over the top of your mat and soaks up the moisture, so your hands and feet keep their grip through a full class.

How it stays put

The underside is coated to hold the towel flat against the mat, so it does not ruffle up under your hands and feet as you move. Lay it over the mat, press it down, and it stays. It measures 172 cm by 61 cm, which covers a standard yoga mat with enough overhang at each end to keep it anchored.

Bamboo microfibre

The fabric is bamboo microfibre: soft against the skin, and quick to dry. A towel that stays wet stops gripping, so drying speed matters as much as how much the towel can hold. It is light enough to fold into a bag and take to class.

Care

Machine wash with a gentle detergent. Air dry, and do not use fabric softener.

Where it works best

Hot yoga and Bikram style classes are where it earns its place, along with any practice where you sweat heavily. It is equally useful over a mat for Pilates. If you practise restorative or yin, a cotton mat towel is the better choice.
