Eco Yoga Mat 4mm

Our Eco Yoga Mat 4mm gives you a reliable, non-slip surface for yoga, Pilates, and floor exercises, all made from eco-friendly TPE foam. At just 0.8 kg, it is light enough to carry to your local studio or pack for weekend travel. Available in five reversible colourways to match your style.

Why Choose Our Eco Yoga Mat

Not all yoga mats are created equal. Our Eco Yoga Mat has excellent grip and is made from TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer), a material that leaves behind the downsides of traditional PVC without sacrificing performance.

TPE is PVC-free, latex-free, and phthalate-free. It produces fewer toxic chemicals during manufacturing, and it can be recycled at the end of its life, unlike conventional PVC mats that sit in landfill. For your body, that means a mat that is gentle on sensitive skin. For the planet, it is a meaningfully better choice.

Which Thickness Is Right for You?

We offer three thickness options across our Eco Yoga Mat range:

  • 4 mm (this mat) is the lightest option, perfect for travel and practitioners who prefer a closer connection to the floor.
  • 6 mm offers all-round comfort for most yoga styles and regular studio use.
  • 8 mm gives extra cushioning for restorative yoga, Pilates, or anyone needing additional joint support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Eco Yoga Mat suitable for hot yoga?

The closed-cell surface handles light perspiration well. For heavy-sweat sessions, you may want to pair it with a yoga towel for extra grip.

How do I clean my TPE yoga mat?

Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap after each use. Allow it to air dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.

What is the difference between 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm yoga mats?

Thicker mats offer more cushioning for joints. The 4 mm mat is the lightest and most portable, the 6 mm is a popular all-rounder, and the 8 mm is best for restorative practice or extra support.

Is TPE better than PVC for yoga mats?

TPE is a more environmentally friendly option. It is free from PVC, latex, and phthalates, requires less energy to produce, and can be recycled. PVC mats are typically cheaper but contain chemicals of concern and are harder to recycle.

Is this yoga mat safe for people with latex allergies?

Yes. This mat is completely latex-free, making it a safe choice if you have a latex allergy or skin sensitivities.

Can I use this mat for Pilates and floor exercises?

Absolutely. The 4 mm cushioning and non-slip surface work well for Pilates, stretching, and general floor exercises.

Does the mat come with a carry strap?

A carry strap is not included, but at just 0.8 kg this mat is easy to roll up and carry on its own. You can also browse our yoga mat bags for a carry option that fits.

Features

Non-Slip Grip

The textured surface gives you steady traction in every posture, from Sun Salutations to balancing poses. It performs well on both hardwood floors and carpeted surfaces, so your mat holds up wherever you practise.

Lightweight and Portable

Weighing just 0.8 kg, this mat rolls up small and fits easily into a gym bag or backpack. It is an ideal companion for studio classes, home practice, or travel.

Dual-Colour Reversible Design

Each mat features two complementary colours, one on each side. Flip it over depending on your mood or space. Both sides deliver the same non-slip grip and cushioning.

Easy to Clean

The closed-cell construction means sweat and moisture stay on the surface instead of soaking in. After your practice, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry.

Joint-Friendly Cushioning

At 4 mm thick, this mat provides comfortable support for your knees, wrists, and spine without feeling spongy. It strikes a solid balance between cushioning and stability.

Care Instructions

After each practice, wipe your mat with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, mix a few drops of mild soap into lukewarm water and gently wipe both sides. Let it air dry flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area before rolling it up.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. TPE is sensitive to UV rays, and extended sun exposure can cause the material to become brittle over time. When storing, roll the mat loosely and keep it in a cool, dry place.

Do not use bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, or put your mat in the washing machine, as these can damage the surface and reduce grip. Do not expose to UV.
